About Me
I’m a Pasadena-based journalist looking to report on human interest stories. I enjoy listening to people of all ages and on all walks of life.
As a student in Pasadena Unified School District, I've become the first Director of Multimedia for the school newspaper and have worked to introduce video and audio content creation to cover major district decisions and grassroots efforts. I’m also a part-time reporter at the award-winning Colorado Boulevard Newspaper, covering weekly Pasadena City Council meetings.
Since July 2025, I've been an active member of the USC CCLP Youth Wildfire Media Initiative Student Advisory Board, covering the impacts of the Los Angeles Wildfires while making meaningful connections with journalists from the New York Times, Pasadena Star-News, Los Angeles Times, and National Public Radio.
While I engage in policy writing and academic research, I always start on the ground — with my pen, paper and microphone. Working as an independent reporter and experimenting with audio tools makes me hope that high schoolers my age will take advantage of local opportunities and their right to the First Amendment. Everyone has a story for a conversation.
